The UKs most theatrical and immersive festival, BoomTown Fair have joined forces with friends and colleagues from across the UK’s creative and festival scene to put on a massive fundraiser on 21st November at Lakota complex, with the aim of raising over £10,000 to help the ever worsening refugee crisis.

Since announcing the fundraiser only a couple of weeks ago, a huge mass of heavyweight headliners have been confirmed for this multi-sensory, multi-roomed night of revelry, including Goldie, Foreign Beggars, JFB, Stanton Warriors, Freestylers, Krafty Kuts and many more, all of which have donated their time for reduced fee or completely for free.

Bristol’s Lakota and Coroners Court complex will be completely transformed into an indoor immersive labyrinth showcasing a selection of BoomTown’s most popular sets, sideshows and performers including The Wild West’s Shotgun Willies, Mayfair Avenue’s The Park Hotel, the rogue dealings of Charlie Browns and the risqué antics of the Red Rash Inn from DSTRKT 5.  On top of the complete transformation of the venue, the mega line up and bombardment of characters, there will be attractions, sideshows, rides and games at every turn… Then step into the Carnie Courtyard for some proper old style Carnival fun with swingboats, the Wheel of Misfortune, Pop the Chicken, fortune tellers and other antiquated offerings. The 24Hr Garage Girls will be taking over an entire room with their blinged up VIP stylings and offering up Ghetto-fication to those with enough swagger to pull it off.

The funds raised will go directly towards volunteer and charity organisations which are being set up across various communities within Bristol such as Aid Box who are taking much needed aid and supplies to refugee camps in and around Calais and beyond. The aim isn’t to simply raise money and awareness, but to pull together all the incredible projects, volunteers and organisations that have all stepped up to help at this time of humanitarian crisis to support each other and grow together as a unified force to tackle the situation as a collective.

Join BoomTown and help raise as much as possible from 9pm on Saturday 21st November at Lakota. Tickets are £25 and available from Eventbrite, more information on the facebook event page here.
