Sounding resonant calls in a lead up to a sub-busting stomp and militant vocal line, ‘Complete’ offers a warning call, curating a dark and cautioning persona backed by drastic and unrelenting percussion.
Proceeding in ascendant fashion, ‘Back to Darkness’ channels the calm before the storm, sweeping from delicate beginning and swiftly dragging us to into an undulant low end whirlpool.
Amply supplied with a similarly militaristic flavour and boasting a thunderous drop, ‘Pure’ strips away the fat and leaves us with the unfiltered lamentations of a battle under way, if only in the mind of the subject.
Answering sweetly in a conclusive narrative that joins each track’s fluctuating atmosphere into a palpable and wistful story, the EP’s title track ‘In the Quiet’ bows from soaring vocal to into dismally trudging bassline, carried by bright stabs and choral arteries.
